Rosebud Theatre & School of the Arts (RTSA) is a hidden gem at the gateway to the Canada’s Badlands that excels in combining delicious food, gracious hospitality, and professional live theatre and entertainment in a serene and peaceful river valley. RTSA is also a post-secondary school with a 50-year history in providing theatre training within a community of professional working artists.

Mandate:
- The mandate of Rosebud Theatre is to produce professional live theatre that illustrates the beauty and complexity of life through an inclusive and grace-filled perspective while mentoring the next generation of theatre artists.
- The mandate of Rosebud School of the Arts is to provide arts training within a community of faith-based artists where students are equipped to be catalysts for transformation in our world.
- The mandate of Rosebud Mercantile is to provide generous hospitality to our patrons, employment for our students and community, and support for the rest of Rosebud School of the Arts endeavors.
Rosebud School of the Arts Act:
Rosebud Theatre, Rosebud School of the Arts and the Rosebud Mercantile are all part of the legal entity, Rosebud School of the Arts, governed by the Rosebud School of the Arts Act. The Objects of the Act are as follows:
To advance education by:
- establishing and operating a guild style educational institution for the study of the theoretical and practical fields of performing and fine arts,
- providing scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance to the Organization’s students to be used for performing and fine arts education at the Organization, and
- providing professional apprenticeship opportunities in the fields of performing and fine arts;
To advance the public’s appreciation of the arts by:
- producing public performances, art exhibitions and presentations, and
- providing professional opportunities for artists and apprentices to perform, exhibit and present artistic works;
To advance the Christian faith by promoting the inclusive and grace-filled worldview embodied in the life of Jesus Christ and found in the Christian gospels;
To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the objects of the Organization.
