While Rosebud Theatre shows are paused, we're bringing audiences The Rosebud Homestage Tour - a new twist on the backstage tour. Tune in every week to the Rosebud Theatre Facebook page as we bring you into the living rooms of artists connected with Rosebud to entertain you with bits of live music and theatre by the people who make live theatre so worthwhile.
This week we featured Mike Thiessen and Peter Church with an episode of their podcast, Welcome to Mutant County (mutantcounty.com). Mike is an alumnus of Rosebud School of the Arts who has been in many Rosebud Theatre shows including Damien, Miracle on 34th Street, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Kite. Peter has also been in several Rosebud Theatre productions including Miracle on 34th Street, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol.
Catch the next episode on the Rosebud Theatre Facebook page on Friday, July 24 at 12:00pm, featuring Allen des Noyers. Allen created the first Rosebud Dinner Theatre shows, turning the old community hall into the “Rosebud Opera House” to mount his original two-act musical When the Sun Meets the Earth. He co-founded Vancouver’s Pacific Theatre before founding the Canadiana Musical Theatre Company to produce and tour his original musicals. Musician, composer, lyricist, playwright, actor, singer, director, and musical director, he has appeared in over 4,000 performances of his musicals across Canada.
